The Single European Sky ATM Research Joint Undertaking (SESAR JU) is a public-private partnership responsible for the coordination and concentration of all European Union (EU) research and development activities in Air Traffic Management. We have a framework contract with the SESAR JU and we basically make all their digital and innovative initiatives a reality, which we enjoy a lot since they always get super challenging!

The SESAR JU wished to conduct a number of activities in the area of digital communications, to promote their work in several strategic areas and introduce its new initiative the U-space. U-space is a set of new services relying on a high level of digitalisation and automation of functions and specific procedures designed to support safe, efficient and secure access to airspace for large numbers of drones.

To help SESAR JU present U-space in a more immersive and participatory way, we developed a virtual reality experience designed for events and stakeholder presentations. The VR tool allowed participants to engage directly with the future of drone traffic management, moving beyond passive observation to become active users of the experience. Built with portability and international deployment in mind, the solution was designed to be easily installed and used across different event environments.
